During the past 30 years, more than 198 outstanding Kansas Citians have been recognized for their volunteer efforts on behalf of non-profit organizations and individuals in our city. These individuals have had a significant impact in a variety of ways with their good works. That is why they are honored with a Spirit Award.
 
The 2012 recipients will be honored at the 31th Annual Spirit Awards Celebration to be held on Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Sheraton Crown Center. Honoring those in our community who exemplify the Spirit of Kansas City, this prestigious event will inspire attendees to go out and make a difference.
 
The atmosphere will be celebratory and hopeful – a place where dreams are born and visions for a better community take shape.
